Javier Mascherano still has no idea why he was sent off against Manchester United during Liverpool's 3-0 Barclays Premier League defeat at Old Trafford.
While the possibility persists that the Argentinian could yet have to serve more than the mandatory one-match ban - because he failed to leave the pitch immediately after being red-carded - Mascherano remains non-plussed over the initial reason for Sunday's dismissal.
Mascherano told the Liverpool Echo: "I do not know why I was sent off. I asked the referee what was happening. I did not swear; I was not aggressive and I did not confront him. All I did was ask him what was happening, nothing else."
Mascherano, who subsequently lost his cool as he made his way off the field, added: "When he showed me the second yellow card and sent me off I could not believe it ....
~ Now honestly .. can anyone believe the crap coming out of his mouth ?! i mean .. how can u get sent off in a match n not know why it happened ??? As it was, he already got booked, not for his mistimed tackle, but for cursing the ref ( poor ol' Steve Bennet ) .. n yet he can say, "i only asked the erf wat happened" .. wat a dumb ass .. USE UR EYES MAN !!! ..
n instead of being careful so as to avoid another booking, when torres got booked, he had to go protest didnt he ? n its not like he was next to the ref to begin with .. He charged nearly 30 YARDS across the pitch jus to scream at the erf for booking his Teammate !!! damn man ..oi Javier .. u think torres would have done the same for u ?? i don't think so man .. torres got more common sense than that .... hahaha
neway thx to Mr Dumb Mystified-cherano, the scousers are out of the running again n MU will soon be one short of the record top flight title haul .. soon to be equalised, n then surpassed .. hehe
